Associate Attorneys RAY STANEK - Managing Associate Attorney RAY STANEK, was admitted to the California Bar in 1990. He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1985 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Psychology. In 1990, Mr. Stanek graduated from Western State University School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor degree. While at Western State University, he participated in Moot Court competitions and was awarded the Roger Traynor Award for submitting the best Brief. Mr. Stanek has experience in civil and workers' compensation law. He has been practicing as a workers' compensation defense attorney since 1992 and has vast experience in all aspects of workers' compensation including witness depositions, doctor depositions and trials. He has worked for Grancell, Stander ,et.al. from 1997 through 1998 and became in house counsel for Zenith with Chernow and Lieb in 1998 through 2010. While working as in house counsel for Zenith, he was selected to participate in a Trial Initiative Program which identifies cases with extraordinary issues to take to trial utilizing enhanced discovery techniques. Additionally, Mr. Stanek also handles civil claims, including, but not limited to, subrogation matters, the defense of discrimination claims under Labor Code section 132(a) and Serious and Willful Misconduct claims under Labor Code section 4553. We are very excited to have Mr. Stanek be a part of the Albert and Mackenzie team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a work ethic that is certain to yield outstanding results.
