Strike a Doctor From a List of Panel Qualified Medical Evaluators (PQME) Do you need to Strike a doctor from a list of three Panel QMEs? Be sure to provide the complete list of three doctors, the region of California and the date the panel list was assigned by the administrative director.
IMPORTANT TIMELINES! * REMEMBER * Per Labor Code Section §4062.2 (c) Within 10 days of the assignment of the panel by the administrative director, the parties shall confer and attempt to agree upon an agreed medical evaluator from the panel. If the parties have not agreed to a medical evaluator from the panel by the 10th day after assignment of the panel, each party may strike one name from the panel. If a party fails to exercise the right to strike a name from the panel within three (3) working days of gaining the right to do so, the other party may select any physician from the panel to serve as the medical evaluator. ______________________________________ The doctor you strike will affect the outcome of your case! This service is free of charge.
